EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW AHEAD OF HIGH PEAK 2020

We are working to create deals with a number of partners to get suitable accommodation for filmmakers! We are already continuing our relationship with 'The Torrs Apartments', which are excellent shared accommodation, suitable for filmmakers looking for community based housing across the festival. You can book that accommodation through the film festival.

Some people think getting to the festival is difficult, but it's super easy from some major cities! You can hop on a train from Manchester Piccadilly (30 minutes) and Sheffield (45 minutes) to get to our film festival, hopping off at New Mills Central. You can even get the Buxton line, which drops you off at New Mills Newtown!

If you're travelling by plane, you can get the plane to Manchester International Airport and then you can either grab a taxi (only 25 minutes!) or hop on the 199, a regular bus that takes you to New Mills Newtown (10 minutes walk).

Our film festival venue is centred right in the middle of town, but if you're staying just out of the area, there a lot of ways to get to the festival.

There is a lot of fantastic things to do in the Peak District, including incredible walks up Mam Tor, Kinder

Scout and more! All with easy access by local transport. Visit the spa town of Buxton whilst you're here, or explore the caves in Castleton!

Looking for something great to eat or drink whilst at the festival? You can get some fantastic discounts with our full festival/ filmmaker pass.
